Over the years, I have been involved with many electronic projects, primarily from the research and proof of concept point of view.  Those projects have involved me as an employee, contractor or personal interest.  I have designed and built many prototype -- large and small.  I have seen the evolution from vacuum tubes to the tiniest surface mount devices.   Below I share some of the things I have learned and methods I have developed or borrowed.  I have worked with the world's largest corporations and some of the smallest companies.  The last forty years has seen me offing my services as a consultant and contractor.   I specialized in anything electronic and that included a wide variety of projects.

There is an interesting difference in being a contractor and an employee and that is in the realm of direction.  As an employee, you are told to go do this or that and it is to be completed by xx//xx/xxxx.  As a contractor, it comes as, would you be interested in doing this or that and how much is it going to cost, and when can you deliver it.  Believe me that is a BIG difference.

Below are links to several different studies or projects.  I expect to add more with time.
