Wimberley Valley Amateur Radio Club

On August 1, 2024, The Wimberley Valley Amateur Radio Club (WVARC) repeater became operational on 145.25 MHz, offset - 600, access tone 162.2. The repeater, AK5Q/R, is located about two miles east of Wimberley Square at a ground elevation of 1140 feet, plus 40 feet of tower and antenna.

Thanks to all the club members who contributed their money, time, equipment and advice to make the repeater a reality. We are looking for signal reports to help determine signal strength and range using the current repeater settings. Please give us a call on the repeater and let us know how you copy.

The club holds a weekly net each Tuesday at 8:00 PM local time. Please feel free to check into the net and say hello. Thanks!
